How to Submit Your Sitemap to Google

1. Generate & Download: Use the tool above to generate your sitemap. Once generated, click the “Download .xml” button to save the sitemap.xml file to your computer.
2. Upload to Your Website: Log in to your website’s hosting control panel (like cPanel) and use the File Manager to upload the sitemap.xml file. You must upload it to the root directory of your website (this folder is usually named public_html or www).
3. Verify the Upload: Open your browser and go to https://yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml (replace “yourwebsite.com” with your actual domain). If you can see the XML code, it was uploaded correctly.
4. Submit to Google Search Console:
   • Go to your Google Search Console property.
   • Click on “Sitemaps” in the left-hand menu.
   • Under “Add a new sitemap”, simply type sitemap.xml and click SUBMIT.
